Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone

DESCRIPTION

A new skid control ECU is supplied without zero point calibration for the deceleration sensor and master cylinder pressure sensor. Until the zero points are calibrated, DTC C1336/39 remains stored. By entering test mode, the zero point calibration is automatically performed, and DTC C1336/39 is cleared automatically.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

When replacing the VSC actuator assembly, perform the zero point calibration BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: CALIBRATION (2008 Sequoia) .

HINT:

When U0123/62, U0124/69 or U0126/63 is output together with C1336/39, inspect and repair trouble areas indicated by U0123/62, U0124/69 or U0126/63 first.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK SENSOR USING TEST MODE PROCEDURE

(a) Perform the test mode procedure BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: TEST MODE PROCEDURE (2008 Sequoia) .

(b) Check if any of the test mode DTCs are recorded.

CHECK YAW RATE SENSOR INSTALLATION

(a) Check that the yaw rate sensor has been installed properly BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia) .

OK:

The sensor is tightened to the specified torque.

The sensor is not tilted.

3.

PERFORM DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION

(a) Perform zero point calibration of the deceleration sensor BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: CALIBRATION (2008 Sequoia) .

RECONFIRM DTC

(a) Clear the DTC BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 Sequoia) .

(b) Start the engine.

(c) Check if the same DTC is recorded BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 Sequoia) .
